- Start with the shop. List what you park or store and size the bays and doors first.
- Then the living space. Bedrooms, baths and kitchen set how much of the building gets finished out, which drives most of the total cost [1].
- Leave room to grow. A lean-to or porch can add covered space for less than a bigger building.
